The Canadian Home Builders' Association (CHBA) has named Dunsire Developments a 2026 National Awards for Housing Excellence finalist in the Best Entry Level Home category — the country's premier recognition for builders making homeownership accessible to first-time buyers.
The CHBA awards are the most established national recognition program for Canadian homebuilders, drawing entries from across the country every year. The Entry Level Home category specifically honours builders who deliver design excellence and quality at price points reachable for first-time and entry-level buyers — a category Dunsire has prioritized since founding in 2010.
The recognition comes at a moment when housing affordability is the defining policy challenge facing Ontario. While many builders have abandoned the entry-level segment for higher-margin product, Dunsire has continued to anchor a meaningful share of every community to first-time-buyer-accessible homes — including Bromley Gardens in St. Catharines (from $738,000 + HST), Meadow Heights in Port Colborne (from $525,000), and the upcoming Highlands community in Caledon East.
Final winners across all CHBA Award categories will be announced at the National Awards Gala in 2026.
